- Welcome to the Bonn Alliance for Sustainability Research. We are a research network based in Bonn and have joined forces to do sustainability research to meet global challenges: Climate change, unequal distribution of resources, exploitation of natural resources, and global competition in new technologies are challenging us on local and national levels, but also in international cooperation.

2. At the Innovation Campus Bonn (ICB), the research priority Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence has a special interest in the nexus between digitalization and sustainable development. To describe the nexus we use the term “digitainability”, which is a mergence between “digitalization” and “sustainability” and as a concept refers to the cross-fertilization between these two.
