Achim Steiner, the highest-ranked German in the UN system, visited Bonn and discussed critically with sustainability experts and interested parties about the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the current climate problems. Where are we currently in the implementation of the Agenda 2030, which opportunities are available and which challenges do we face? What role can science and research as well as the public in Germany play in promoting the transformation towards national and global sustainability?
In the name of the Bonn Alliance for Sustainability Research, we invited you to discuss with one of the most important representatives for the shaping of global change and to enter into a lively exchange between the poles of politics, science, and civil society:
Lecture by Achim Steiner “Towards Global Sustainability: Opportunities and Challenges in the Implementation of the Agenda 2030” with subsequent discussion
in the auditorium of the University of Bonn.
With its worldwide presence, UNDP is one of the most important and well-known UN organizations.
