Prof. Dr. Imme Scholz (c) DIE
Prof. Dr. Imme Scholz, Deputy Director of the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) was appointed to the Bio-economy Council, which advises the German government on the reorientation for a knowledge-based bio-economy.
In January 2020, the Council was adopted by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) in a joint resolution. For three years the members are now working on the objectives for the development and implementation of an internationally competitive strategy. This includes recommendations and statements as well as the promotion of public discussion with regard to the bio-economy.
